Training Lead – Women Gambling Harm Awareness & Prevention

GamCare is seeking a passionate Training Lead to join our national Women’s Programme, which is dedicated to raising awareness of gambling harms affecting women and ensuring that those impacted receive recognition and support.
This is a home-based position with travel required for face-to-face training sessions and team development days. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, evidence-based training to professionals across various sectors, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to identify and respond to gambling harms.
Working closely with our regional Engagement Leads, you will also support the development of tailored training content, maintain strong working relationships with partner organisations, and contribute to a more informed, inclusive support system for women affected by gambling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Deliver Training
Develop and facilitate engaging, inclusive, and evidence-informed training sessions for professionals across sectors. - Tailor Content for Diverse Audiences
Adapt training materials to meet the needs of different service providers, including those in health, housing, women’s support, and social care. - Collaborate with Regional Teams
Work closely with regional Engagement Leads to align training with local needs and programme goals. - Travel for Face-to-Face Sessions
Travel occasionally across the UK to deliver in-person training and attend team development days. - Support Training Development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and methods, incorporating participant feedback and learning outcomes. - Evaluate Training Impact
Measure effectiveness of training delivery through evaluations, feedback forms, and performance metrics. - Represent GamCare Externally
Act as a professional representative of GamCare at partner meetings, conferences, and sector events. - Promote Inclusive Learning
Ensure all training is accessible, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive, especially for audiences engaging with women affected by gambling harm. - Maintain Accurate Records
Keep detailed records of training sessions, participant feedback, and any follow-up actions or support needs. - Stay Informed on Sector Developments
Keep up-to-date with best practices in adult learning, gender-informed care, and gambling harm prevention.

Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced facilitator with a strong understanding of inclusive learning practices and social impact. You’ll bring:
- Proven Experience in Adult Training
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering engaging, effective training for adult learners, ideally in health, social care, charity, or education sectors. - Strong Facilitation Skills
Ability to present confidently, engage diverse audiences, and adapt delivery methods to suit various learning needs. - Knowledge of Inclusive and Trauma-Informed Practices
Understanding of how to create safe, accessible, and inclusive learning environments, particularly for topics involving lived experiences or vulnerability. - Excellent Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to explain complex issues clearly and compassionately. - Ability to Work Independently and Remotely
Comfortable managing your workload from a home-based setting while collaborating effectively with a dispersed team. - Willingness to Travel
Availability to travel across the UK to deliver in-person training sessions and attend occasional team development days.
Desirable Requirements:
- Lived Experience of Gambling Harm
Personal or professional experience with gambling harm is welcomed and valued. - Background in Women’s Support Services
Experience working with women-focused organisations or programmes is a plus. - Familiarity with Online Training Tools
Competence in using platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). - Awareness of Gambling Harms and Related Social Issues
Knowledge of the impact of gambling on individuals and communities, especially women, is advantageous.
