Panel Support Team:
This team supports over 580 Panel Members and Legal Assessors involved in Fitness to Practise proceedings. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, onboarding, performance monitoring, and compliance with ethical codes and contractual terms. The team also coordinates the Hearings Coordinator induction training programme.
Job Role:
As Panel Support Team Manager, you’ll:
- Lead and develop a team to ensure high-quality, diverse, and well-trained panel members and legal assessors.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance frameworks for panel members.
- Monitor adherence to contractual obligations and codes of conduct.
- Investigate concerns and report to the Appointments Board when necessary.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure delivery of the Fitness to Practise plan.
- Represent the Panel Support Team in cross-organizational projects.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience developing and managing operational systems and training frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder and team management skills.
- A strong track record in performance delivery and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including public speaking.
- A collaborative approach to leadership and an inclusive mindset.
- Experience working in regulated or healthcare environments (desirable).
- A degree or equivalent professional experience in HR, governance, public administration, or a related field (preferred).
