Role Purpose:
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Chief Executive to provide visible, connected leadership across our workforce of paid staff and volunteers. Reporting to the Board of Governors, you will shape and execute the vision, values, and strategy that enable Hospice Isle of Man to meet the current and future needs of the people we serve.
You will act as an ambassador for Hospice’s values — compassion, respect, integrity, and collaboration — strengthening our reputation and ensuring the charity’s financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services: Oversee the delivery of nursing-led care by a qualified clinical team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
- Partnerships: Manage and develop key relationships, especially with Manx Care, to align services and funding effectively.
- Trading Activities: Lead our limited trading companies, including the “Share the Care” retail shops, which provide vital income.
- Income Generation: Maintain existing fundraising streams and proactively identify new opportunities.
- Public Relations: Act as the charity’s public face, enhancing community engagement and visibility.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee support and administrative functions to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Workforce Leadership: Inspire and support both paid staff and volunteers to deliver high performance and a one-team culture.
- Donor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with high net worth donors and key supporters to secure ongoing funding.
Candidate Profile:
