About the Role:
The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) is looking for an experienced Senior Internal Communications Officer to lead high-impact internal communications that keep staff informed, inspired, and aligned with organisational goals.
This is a key position within the internal communications team and plays a vital role in supporting culture change, organisational strategy, and colleague engagement across the NMC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver strategic internal communication initiatives across departments and projects
- Create and manage inclusive, engaging content across internal platforms, including a new SharePoint-based intranet
- Advise and collaborate with senior leaders, including the Chief Executive’s office, on internal communications
- Support colleagues through organisational changes and transformation initiatives
- Strengthen employee understanding of strategy and values through clear communication
- Manage communication campaigns with a focus on clarity, consistency, and measurable outcomes

Working Arrangements:
This role is based in either London or Edinburgh, with two in-office days per week. Applicants must be able to commute to one of the NMC’s offices. Travel between NMC locations may occasionally be required.
