Job Duties:

As a Policy Officer, you will:

  • Lead policy development across our three strategic priorities: prevention & diagnosis, access to treatment, and living well with arthritis.
  • Manage policy projects from start to finish—research, develop policy positions, write reports and consultation responses.
  • Represent Versus Arthritis on cross-sector working groups and at major policy events.
  • Produce briefings and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including senior government figures.
  • Work closely with our Nations Teams, Research Directorate, and other departments to ensure cohesive advocacy.
  • Stay on top of health, public health, and employment policy developments.

Eligibility Criteria:

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A strong understanding of policy issues facing people with long-term conditions or disabilities.
  • Proven experience in a policy or advocacy team.
  • Hands-on experience shaping health and social care policy.
  • Exceptional communication—both verbal and written.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Creativity in finding solutions and influencing change.

Location & Hybrid Working:

  • Hybrid model: 40% office time (London HQ) + flexible remote work.
  • Travel to regional offices may be required occasionally.
  • Remote options considered for those with health conditions or other access needs.
